Mercedes launched EQC in India - Electric SUV Highlights.

Mercedes Benz launched their first ever all electric vehicle, EQC, in India. Mercedes Benz India launched the all electric SUV on 8th October 2020, which is a full electric version of GLC Class. EQC is a combination of iconic comfort and luxury of Mercedes with new age battery powered core technology for sustainable mobility.

Mercedes Benz took a bold decision by launching Fully electric premium segment vehicle in India because many of their rivals believe Indian market isn't quite ready for this. And Mercedes priced first fifty models at Rs 99.3 Lakhs (Ex- showroom price).
Initially, as phase one, EQC will be sold in six major cities of India namely, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad before expanding to other places. Mercedes have installed around 100 charging stations in India and EQC Compatible charging stations will be visible on it's MBUX Infotainment system.

The vehicle is powered by Two Asynchronous Three Phase AC Motors each placed at front and rear axle. It together produces a maximum power of 402 bhp and 765 nm torque. It has All Wheel drive drive train.
Mercedes EQC achieves a top speed of 180 kmph and can accelerate from 0 - 100 kmph in just 5.1 seconds. This vehicle is powered by 80 kWh Li ion battery which can give 471 Km range on single charge and battery weighs around 625 Kg.
Company has configured Slow, Medium and DC fast charging systems in the vehicle. Details are shown below.
Electric cars currently selling in India is not in Premium segment like EQC, and Mercedes EQC will be competing with upcoming models like Audi e-Tron and Jaguar I-pace to dominate premium electric car segment in India.
